Mossley’s history lives in its people, its families, and its mills. Threads Weave Stories is a community quilt project gathering those memories — some at risk of being lost — and transforming them into a shared work of art.
Over the coming months, we will host a series of free, welcoming textile workshops at Woodend Mill. You are invited to come along — once, or many times — to create a small fabric square inspired by your own memories, family history, or connection to Mossley. All materials are provided, and no sewing experience is needed.
You can stitch your own square, design something on paper, or simply share a story for us to translate into cloth. Every contribution becomes part of the finished quilt, which will belong to the people of this town.
